In addition, the Fairview Container Terminal Expansion project is expected to be complete by the third quarter of 2017. According to a December press release from the Port, “The next significant milestone for the project is expected in March 2017 with the arrival of three Malacca-max dock gantry cranes to make Prince Rupert big ship ready.” There is always a bustle of activity at our Port.

Only time will tell what will unfold during the rest of 2017!

6 Quick Ways to Give a Room a New Look

A new year is a perfect chance to make changes in your life, to start something new. Many people begin diets or exercise regimes at this time of your, but there is another way to change things up in your life: your home decor.

While redecorating completely might be a little daunting, there are some smaller things you can do to change the look and feel of a room. If it’s time for a change in your home, try one of these ways to refresh your decor.

Get a new rug – It’s easy not to notice what you are walking on but adding or switching a run can make a big difference. Different colours, patterns and textures all give a room a different feel.

Move things around – If you keep everything exactly same but just rearrange the placements, it will still make a big difference to the room’s overall impression.

Add a dimmer to your lighting – A change in lighting instantly changes the mood. Adding a dimmer allows you to control that mood as you please. Turn it up when practical, or turn it down for a cozy evening.

Hang different pictures – Switch up your wall art. Use different frames and a different arrangement to alter the overall look of a room. You can also switch from art prints to family photographs or vice versa.

Buy some (different) knick knacks – Add a few carefully chosen objects to coffee or side tables. If you already have some, switch them out for new ones. You don’t have to throw out the old ones — you can start rotating or use them in another room.

Get new curtains – In general, fabrics are an easy way to change up a room. Lighter, darker, brighter, simpler — however you choose to go, a new pair of curtains will have a big impact. Sticking with fabrics, a new throw for your couch will have a similar effect.
